Encouraged by good people skills and the enjoyment of human relations, Mona acquired her Bachelors of Arts degree in both psychology and sociology, in 1990. Mona is most happy when working with people on a close, interpersonal level. She has done so by serving as a counselor for abused children who have severe or chronic psychiatric and emotional disturbances.
As a massage therapist for may years now, she continues to enjoy the personal relationships her career provides her. Mona has worked with a variety of celebrities in both the entertainment and political arena as well as professional athletes including the 1996 American Beach Volleyball Professional team on their U.S. tour and trials for the Olympics. Mona provided massage therapy for the likes of Karch Kiraly and Kent Steffes. She also assisted the medical staff during the 2009 Emerald Coast Fall Classic Tournament. Triathletes, powerlifters, tennis players, golfers, marathon runners and professional football and basketball players have also benefited from her sports massage.
She has been a competitive fitness/figure competitor and competitive track and fielder. In addition, Mona played basketball on the college level. Mona was featured on the front page of the November 27th 1996 Dallas Morning News as one of 30 new businesses that have opened at D/FW airport to provide diversion for travelors.
Mona is trained in many types of massage. Some which are Swedish, Hot Stone, Sports, Ashiatsu, Prenatal and Reflexology. If you want her specialty, ask for a Deep tissue massage. Deep tissue targets the deeper layers of muscle and connective tissue. This will be slower storkes and friction techniques across the grain of the muscle. Deep tissue is used for chronically tight and painful muscles, postural problems, or recovery from an injury.
